My Baby is 5! And Quinn's Photography

Wow! She's 5 and will be going to kindergarten this year! Adilaide, I hope
you enjoy this year of your life.
She had a swim/princess party, thanks to a new pool next door at Grandma and Grandpa's.
She had some friends over and they had fun in the water, jumping on the trampoline,
playing bubblegum-bubblegum, and hot potato(with a real hot purple potato)

I'm usually not much for a big decorative cake because It takes so much time and effort
to make a creative cake and let's get real, it is just cake. But, I got this 3 layer cake
pan for my birthday and gave this one a shot.
it is not fancy, but it is pink, and that is what she wanted.

Kayla, Quinn, Adi, Lindy, Ellyn, Kendra, Coulson, Benji

Coulson gave her a Barbie movie, and I just loved this expression on her face.

Finally, she got a big girl bike! Yay!
Now she just needs to learn how to ride it.

Our kiddos and their cousins had a great lemonade stand
and bake sale.  They were quite successful, earning $60.00 which
they used to pay for half of the swimming pool which now stays at
Grandma and Grandpa's so they can all use it whenever they want.
However, some of their cousins live in Washington State,
guess they'll be back next summer.

Coulson lost his 2 front teeth!

Quinn's Photography

He has asked me to feature some of his recently taken pictures.
I think he is pretty good.
Taken in the field across the road from our house.

Story behind the swallows:  I know a lot of people think they are a nuisance but a pair made their nest on our front porch and we have enjoyed watching them nest there.  The kids check them all the time..."Oh, they laid their eggs." "Look the babies are peeking their heads out," etc. This year just as they hatched the nest fell off and shattered, killing one of the 3 little chicks.  Seth hurried and made them a new nest out of the same mud from the pond across the street and dried it in our oven.  Then, with gloves on he scooped up the chicks and put them in the new nest and with strings and staples reattached it to our porch. These are the 2 surviving babies.  Quinn has been documenting their life.  They still come back to sleep in their nest at night, but they have officially flown the nest.
